Some wild-life elements for logo

Here are a few elements that I have developed for a logo. The company is a hunting company.

Beastie!!!!

Here is a quick piece I did after looking around the web for dog reference. Just had the craving to do a beast ala beauty and the beast.

Face post

Here is my morning warm up. I am knee deep in projects right now. Two murals...a plate painting...as well as two logos. Lets just say when it rains it pours:))) More to come!!!!

Final with some process sketches...

Here is a final dog rendering that I recently completed. I have also included a few of the rejected pose sketch studies I submitted. The client really wanted a specific pose and at last I nailed it. He is happy and at the end of the day that is what matters:) As always...I work on a Cintiq in Manga Studio.

Doggie rendering...

Here is the lab piece I have been working on:) I am almost finished. I love doing the animals...makes me feel good.

Another dog post...

So here is yet another dog with duck sketch. I have finally landed on the right fit. Onto rendering:)))

Thanksgiving is coming:)))

These are some character designs I did a while back that I always wanted to re-visit. I think I will work something up that turns the tables. Maybe the hunted becomes the hunter:))) Enjoy!

Bearly made it!

Today was almost a loss....as I had sooooo much to do today:))) Here is a quick sketch of a bear. Enjoy!

Doggie concept:)))

Here are a couple of quick composition studies for a dog portrait I am working on. Direction was to do a lab with a duck in the mouth in a non traditional pose that focuses on the eyes. I like the 3/4 view the most:)))

New additional project...

So I have been tasked once again to do a wildlife piece. This time it is a dog holding a bird(retriever holding a duck). I did a pose a while back but had to change it up a bit as per client request. I am also waiting on a new Cintiq so I can move forward with painting all this stuff:))) This is a composition sketch...I will take screen caps and post as I move along.

The groove:)))

So I am in the middle of collecting reference for a new character project and decided I needed a break. The new project is going to be yet another character exercise that I will eventually post here but in the meantime...this will have to do. Just a quickie!!!!

Yo ho!

Late afternoon post:)))

The dodo...

Everybody assumes that the Dodo was dumb...or was he?

Still on vacation:)))

Last day of vacation....but I am posting some fun sketches I did a while back. These were done as character sketches for a story on animal hunters...in reverse:)
