New concept...

So my buddy is doing an illustration of a dog driving a mech that hunts for cats. Now...in all fairness there needs to be a response. Here is my sketch(not quite where I want it but close...).this one is going to be epic!!!

Sketch for the day

Traditional marker on Bristol. I have been using a Cintiq and manga studio pro so going prisma marker is quite the change up....love the change though!

Mural three wrapped!!

Here is the third mural completed for Flirida hospital. Same mural different location. This one done in Port Orange. Next one in Tampa. I had to endure 98 degree heat on this one... Not good. Still..22 hrs later and we have this:) sketched in prismacolor pencil and painted in acrylics. Murals rock!

So tired:)

I was up late chasing my dreams:) Here is todays late day sketch.

Design...

My position as an illustrator has always been in me. However...my graphic design side has also been something that I have developed over the years. It seems that is this day and age of being an artist that one must have a solid grasp of multiple artistic realms if success is something that is desired. I am an illustrator by default and everything else out of necessity. Here is a piece of expression.

iPad sketch

Here is a quick iPad sketch. New tools.

Character model sheet...

Put this together for my scientist character.

A little late afternoon post...

Here is a late afternoon post. The doctor once again.

Morning warm up...

Here is my morning warm up. I also did one from my meeting but that will be posted later. Enjoy!

New sketchbook..

So I purchased a new sketchbook over the weekend. When I was in college I filled a sketchbook up about every month. I also used to carry it everywhere I went. Time to turn back the clock and start the old habit again. I am really looking to change the focus of my art and I believe that this is the continuation of that process. I know that this is the best way to go. Onward and upward!!!!

Quick sketch...

Goong to go full scientist on this one...maybe even a lab:)

Monday morning meeting sketch...

Did this short pen drawing on the back of my notebook during my Monday morning art meeting. I am a sketch artist by nature so if I have a pencil in my hand I will draw...period. It is a compulsion.

Saturday character sketch

Here is a quick sketch for today. I am traditional on the weekends from now on. I work so much on my Cintiq that sometimes I really miss simple pencil and paper.

Morning doodle...

I did this as a warm up this morning on the back of my note pad. Monday doodle!

Monday's post...

Here is the wrap up to the sketch from last week. I wanted to do a little more but it was a learning exercise! More to come:))

Some older character designs and Zbrush sketch sculpts...

Here are a couple older character design pose sheets for a few projects that I worked on but never finished. This is where I came up with my dinosaur character...Thomas the T-rex.  I love to draw him. Sometimes having too many ideas is a challenge as I never land on one to complete to finish. I have also started up with Zbrush again. It is a great program that has opened a whole new world to me. Enjoy!

Quick paint in between projects..

So I am continuing on my path to open the bool on a story concept I created a while back. this is the second pose of the main character Moo Houston...secret agent. I am going to trickle the posts for the project amongst the other fun. Enjoy the ride!

New art....Wild Star fan art..

I sometimes emulate existing styles to learn how people work. this piece was referenced from an existing piece in the Wild Star universe. I learned a lot! I will keep going forward. I have been toying around with the idea of my own for a while...maybe it is time!

Fun!!!

Here are a couple projects that I did over the weekend. I went simple with my space gal. the other character is a character logo I was commissioned to do this weekend. I love doing these:)))

Wip alert!!!!

I am doing work for NASA and am getting the feel for the vintage space program. This piece is a sketch that I am going to go to finish on. Here is the preliminary sketch:)
