Here is my morning warm up. I am knee deep in projects right now. Two murals...a plate painting...as well as two logos. Lets just say when it rains it pours:))) More to come!!!!

Harder than I thought..

The drawing a day is becoming a passion. I am bogged down with wanting to do much more than a "quick" drawing and more of wanting to do a great illustration. I am looking in my bag of tricks to see what I can do to take care of this. I will post my results as I work thru it. In the meantime...here is a quick character study!

A little fun....

I am in my studio for the next few days and will be starting the murals on Sunday so I am super busy. Oh yes...and then there is Christmas! All is good and I am blessed:))) Here is a little fun. Remember...you always can spare 10 minutes a day. No matter what!

I am always looking to better myself and do better work. Here is a new technique...still in Manga but quicker and clearer. I am also going to start with more expression in my characters.

So today is Monday...and I had a weekend that I would like to put behind me:) House projects and car maintenance put the drawing on hold for a couple of days. I am finally back in the groove. Here is a quick Monday monster.

Here is a final dog rendering that I recently completed. I have also included a few of the rejected pose sketch studies I submitted. The client really wanted a specific pose and at last I nailed it. He is happy and at the end of the day that is what matters:) As always...I work on a Cintiq in Manga Studio.

So I am actually a little swamped today. I have work at the office and work in the studio...life is good! Here is a quick piece I did in-between jobs today. I am also working on 2 logos and will post the process as I have it finished. Enjoy!

Back from vacation...

So I am now back from a great week of theme parks and fun with the family! I only did one small piece this week and have already posted it(dog rendering). Here is a quick sketch warm up this morning. Of course I have a pile of "to do" art that is screaming at me so off to the races!!!!

So it has been about two years since I had a vacation:))) I am working on many projects this week in my studio to catch up. I am also doing the second mural concept. I will post what I can but I am not doing a daily until I gat back to the office. In the meantime here is a sketch of a holiday piece I am doing...enjoy!

Christmas is coming...

So I am doing some research for my christmas card and had to do a quick one to get me in the mood. I usually start the card earlier but have had so much to do lately. Better late than never. I will post some process clips and the final when complete. In the meantime...it is coming...

Logo alert!!!

Here is a logo that I recently completed. It was decided that the "plant" icon was to be removed as its strength was competing with the mother brand logo. Oh well...sometimes there can be many hands in the pot. This time I believe that they were right as the creation of two strong logo icons can be confusing. Enjoy!

Finished spot with process page:)

I finally got my Cintiq:))) There is no substitute! Here is the first thing I did....pirate fun:))) I have also included a process page. I work different every time(within reason) so eventually I will have to iron down a video. Enjoy!

So I am doing a small spot illustration to show a little process. i generally have the drawing done in Manga and go from there. the image shown here is the final drawing and the underpainting. I will probably be adding more background as I move along. More process to come:)))

Past project...

So I am not quite ready to post my daily sketch as it has turned into more of a spot illustration:) I will try to wrap it tonight. In the meantime the attached is a project I did years ago for a marketing corporation for the 25 year anniversary of the Born in the USA album. I really enjoyed this piece.More to come!

So the process has started. I have pulled reference...started the character studies...and started on the thumbnails. the murals have started:)))) I will be posting the process so this will be fun.
