Morning warm up...

Here is my morning warm up. I also did one from my meeting but that will be posted later. Enjoy!

New sketchbook..

So I purchased a new sketchbook over the weekend. When I was in college I filled a sketchbook up about every month. I also used to carry it everywhere I went. Time to turn back the clock and start the old habit again. I am really looking to change the focus of my art and I believe that this is the continuation of that process. I know that this is the best way to go. Onward and upward!!!!

I finally have almost completed this piece. I am hoping that it will be part of a much larger grouping of sports. We will see. 

Monday morning meeting sketch...

Did this short pen drawing on the back of my notebook during my Monday morning art meeting. I am a sketch artist by nature so if I have a pencil in my hand I will draw...period. It is a compulsion.

Here is a quick sketch for today. I am traditional on the weekends from now on. I work so much on my Cintiq that sometimes I really miss simple pencil and paper.

Sketch concept alert!!!!

Yes...I am working an a piece with a leprechaun...I am addicted. I am also doing my daily so keep an eye peeled!

Process page...

I am working on a series of sports poses and am recording the process to which I use when rendering the art. I am at the 70% stage. I will now render the character. Usually I would stop here and move on as I like the loose feeling and line work shown. However, in the realm of illustration work one must bow to the mighty client and give them what they have paid for. I will post the final when complete.
